EMT John R. Demkosky
John Robert Demkosky, 35, of Dunmore, an emergency medical technician, died Monday, November 29, 2010 while working at the profession he loved.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Ann Marie Demkosky and her life partner, Crystal Drake, Dunmore, and John Demkosky and his wife, Esther, Scranton, John worked as an EMT for Lackawanna Ambulance and also was a volunteer at the Chinchilla Hose Company. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School class of 1993.
He loved his job and loved helping people. He brought compassionate care and comfort to everyone he cared for. He truly exemplified what an EMT does. His smile would light up a room. His family and friends will remember his unique sense of humor among his many great attributes. Everyone that knew John loved him and he will be deeply missed more than words can express.
Also surviving are an uncle, Robert Minella, Dunmore; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Angelo and Margaret Minella; and his paternal grandparents, John and Bertha Demkosky.
