Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Our Advanced Life Support units are staffed and operated 24 hours-per-day, 7 days-per-week by the area's most experienced steveParamedics. These individuals are trained and certified to perform advanced techniques, such as cardiac monitoring, drug administration, defibrillation, cardioversion, and intubation - just to name a few. Our Paramedics are trained and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) and all basic life support skills such as CPR and AED. Our Paramedics are capable of providing the highest level of care available to our patients in the prehospital setting.
ALS Services Include: ALS Emergent Transport, ALS Non-Emergent Transport, ALS Intercept and ALS Specialty Care.
 
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Our Basic Life Support units are staffed and operated by highly trained and certified johnEmergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). These individuals are able to perform skills ranging from bleeding control to oxygen therapy. Our EMTs are also trained to assist our Paramedics in specific advanced skills. Our EMTs offer special skill services in everything ranging from a basic medical transport to a special event standby.
BLS Services Include: BLS Emergent Transport, BLS Non-Emergent Transport and Special Event Standby.
 
Wheelchair Van Services
At Lackawanna Ambulance we understand that not everyone needs or requires an ambulance. Some of our patients may just need transportation to a doctor's jadineappointment or a family event. At Lackawanna Ambulance, we are capable of providing our patients with safe and reliable passenger or wheelchair transport to any event or appointment.
 
Bariatric Transport
la2Lackawanna Ambulance is one of only two providers in the Northeast Region with the capabilities of safely and effectively transporting Bariatric patients to the Emergency Room or a doctor's appointment. Lackawanna Ambulance's Bariatric unit is staffed by specially trained personnel and is outfitted with the latest technology in bariatric transport and maneuverability.
 
Bike Team Services
Our Bike Team is staffed by both Paramedics and EMTs.brogan It has the capabilites of delivering both ALS and BLS services to persons with any illness or injury. It has been utilized at many local events, such as, festivals, parades, races and religious gatherings.
